Since becoming a Mom, I have come across more information about products, ingredients, organics, and beyond than I've ever realized existed. Because when you become a Mom, at least for me, you start to think about health in a whole new light, you start to think about the future of our earth even more than you did before, and you possibly just feel yourself start to crumble a little bit when you realize how much junk is out there waiting to harm your baby, this earth and well, you!
Our team at Green Piñata is passionate about eco-conscious everything and especially our toys. We stand confidently behind our manufacturers as we know they do great work in producing quality, safe products for our children and also do it with the earth in mind.
PlanToys is no exception. When it comes to sustainability and toy production, PlanToys has captured nearly every single accolade that exists. From using their wood scraps to produce energy to maintaining excellent working conditions in their factories to being a Carbon Neutral company, PlanToys treats the planet, its people, and your little ones with the utmost care and respect.
Our Plan Toys Collection was a no-brainer from the beginning as we searched for quality, wooden toys that were also sustainably sourced. Our priority was to ensure that these educational playthings could withstand the wear and tear of the sharing economy with kids and that these toys would be in no way harmful or dangerous.
PlanToys makes their toys out of rubberwood (which doesn't come into contact with fertilizer for three years prior to the trees being cut down) or their trademarked PlanWood, which is another high-quality, safe and sustainable material. The wooden toys are assembled using non-toxic formaldehyde-free glue and painted with organic color pigements (safe for babies and the earth) or dyed with water-based solutions.
As a parent and a member of the Green Piñata team, I'm thrilled to have found PlanToys and to learn more about their sustainable practices. Learn more about their sustainable ways here.
